Macro Val's Healthy Cooking Classes

Chef Val will continue offering cooking classes online, using Zoom, plus classes in her home in Westland.

You can learn about healthy, whole foods in the comfort of your own home, even if you don't live close enough to attend a class. Zoom is easy to use, you do not even need to sign up for an account.

This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who lives too far to attend a class in person

Think you have to give up taste for health? Think again.

Chef Val has created meat-free, dairy-free, sugar-free recipes that you will actually enjoy eating. When you attend a Macro Val Cooking Class you will learn not only how to prepare vegetarian dishes, you will learn the benefits of each ingredient and proper cutting techniques as well.


How Zoom works:

  • Choose which class(es), listed below, you wish to attend, and pay the fee using the Add To Cart button.
  • On the day of the class, you will receive an email with the recipe and a link to the Zoom cooking class.
  • If you have not used Zoom before, when you click on the link you will be asked to download a Zoom file. This file enables you to use Zoom, but you will not be asked to sign up to Zoom.
  • In order to be sure everyone is connected on time, please click the link and join the class 15 minutes before it starts.

You can participate in the cooking class without having your camera on. You will see the cooking class, but no one will see you.

You will be able to ask questions during cooking class using the chat feature.
There will be time at beginning of class and end of class for all to communicate. During the class instruction all students will be muted to ensure everyone can hear Val clearly.


Use the "Add to Cart" button after the class description to sigh up for the class.

Wed. May 5 - Brown Rice Chick Pea Radicchio Salad
6:30 to 7:30 PM - $20.00 - Through Zoom

Whole grain salads make the perfect meal. Chef Val will teach how to make this colorful, nutrient rich, flavorful salad. Chick peas are an excellent source of protein and nurtures your heart.

Wed. May 12- Lemon Squares and Lemon Peel Candy
6:30 to 7:30 PM - $20.00 - Through Zoom

Lemon Squares that have lemon peel candies in them. In this class Chef Val will teach two recipes featuring lemons that have the signature flavor of spring, sour. These desserts will be sweetened with brown rice syrup, no refined sugar, plus they are gluten free.

Wed. May 19 - Healthy Snack Ideas
6:30 to 7:30 PM - $20.00 - Through Zoom

Chef Val will teach how to make quick and easy snacks. Snacking can be challenging when you want to eat healthy, whole foods. These easy snack ideas will feature vegetables, whole grain tortillas and special dips.

Wed. May 26 - 5 Ingredients Dish for Two
6:30 to 7:30 PM - $20.00 - Through Zoom

Using only five ingredients, Chef Val will create this delicious dish to serve two people. Many recipes make large quantities but some people are only cooking for themselves or for two.
